Jodie the professional,
Between Fitzroy and Grey,
She liked our flat for the alleyway access and,
Music we played,
"What about your demon's"
Would sing-a-long her voice from below,
Camped out beneath the solitary tree,
The landlord was soon to cut down,
And it's 3 am in the morning,
Another pick up truck drop off,
She's tired from working and my loneliness is too much,
And I say;
Don't be cold baby,
What are you doing with your life,
Maybe you should come inside and spend the night.
A room full of empty cans,
Slayers been on since dusk,
I don't go out and I haven't been with a girl in months,
So even if you just wanna wash,
Or come and help me polish a bottle,
Maybe we can work out a way to get you straight.
And she said;
Don't you know honey,
I do nobody on the block,
I've got my own buzz,
Now please leave me alone.
